People love seeing a potter at work and always want to have a go themselves!
A lot of our projects explore materials. Giving people of all ages and from different communities access to work with a wide range of materials and makers is a key part of what we do.
Clay is particularly accessible. It’s safe, messy and fun to explore. These images are from our Making Together project where babies explored, squidged, spread and squashed wet clay. And, of course, got to have a play with the potter’s wheel.

To celebrate Craftspace’s 40th Anniversary, we commissioned the artist Stewart Francis Easton to create an artwork which would explore the story of Craftspace through 40 objects. Stewart created a series of four beautiful graphic quilts.
